Catch Up Premium

The literacy and numeracy Catch Up Premium gives schools additional funding to support Year 7 pupils who did not make expected progress at the end of Key Stage 2 (KS2).

Our most recent Catch Up funding strategy and impact statements can be found below (see 'Downloads').

2019-20

For the academic year 2019-20, we received £9,166 Catch Up Premium funding. This allocation of funding was once again used to help support additional staffing for our  Oakclass provision.

Oakclass is an additional set in Year 7 covering both English and maths. Lessons are taught by an experienced KS2 teacher and are supported consistently by the same Teaching Assistant. This was introduced last year and was kept for a second year as we aim to support all Y7 pupils in English and maths upon entry to Oakbank.

2018-19

For the academic year 2018-19, we received £9,333 Catch Up Premium funding. This allocation of funding was used to help support additional staffing in both English and Maths in the form of Oakclass, an additional set in Year 7 covering both English and Maths. OakClass lessons are taught by an experienced KS2 teacher and are supported consistently by the same Teaching Assistant.
