Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is a government initiative that provides schools with additional funding to support disadvantaged students in making good progress and raising attainment.

Students are eligible for Pupil Premium funding if:

  • they are a Looked After Child
  • they have received free school meals within the last six years
  • they have a parent in the armed forces.

As an inclusive school, our intention is to provide a teaching and learning environment with outstanding teaching and learning resulting in no child being left behind socially or academically because of disadvantage. We aim to raise lifelong aspirations, and set high expectations and challenge for all by removing barriers to learning and achieving excellence.

Our Pupil Premium Plan aims to address the main barriers our children face and through rigorous tracking, careful planning and targeted support and intervention, provide all children the access and opportunities to enjoy academic success.

To find out more about how the pupil premium is being used to support students in our school, please see our three-year Pupil Premium strategy statement below.
